Description:Grange Road was built in the early 1870s, when the route north from Biddulph to Congleton was diverted from the south and east of St. Lawrence's church, to the west and north. The entrance to Biddulph Grange (on the right) was made at this time. In 2003 the view is still exactly the same. The entrance is now used by the owners of the apartments, which were built in the converted Biddulph Grange hall.
On the immediate right was the walled garden belonging to the lodge to the old Grange estate. The lodge is now the home of the National Trust head gardner responsible for Biddulph Grange gardens.
